What it is like to be a Xbox One S gamer? (Personal Gaming Console Review)
I have been into gaming since I was little, my first game being Super Mario Bros. and then came the PC gaming and in 2018 I got my dream console which is the Xbox One S. I have stopped playing games on PC now because well I have an amazing console and I don't have to worry about "but can my PC run it and if yes then at what settings?". Or running but causing lags and stuttering or game having errors and other kind of craps. See I could not build a gaming PC, I am not that rich. But I bought One S through my own earnings and it changed my gaming life. As it's Coronavirus Pandemic going right now and most people are in Quarantine, especially in India when the case are going rapid NOW.
The One S can run games in 4k and on Full HD very well but my TV is of 720p or just HD so well I can't experience it's true capabilities but still it is a great experience. Today I played lots of Call of Duty Warzone and yesterday I played Destiny 2, mostly it's online mode and some Campaign with Red Dead Redemption 2. It feels really great that I can just run any game, I just need to own it or have subscriptions or if it is free. Yes I cannot pirate them anymore like I used to do on PC.
One of my most favorite thing about this console is the Xbox Game Pass which offers over 100+ games, adding more every month and old ones going away. It is something that not even the Playstation 4 offers right now. I can play all the amazing games in it, I just need to download them and thanks a lot I have unlimited data on my WiFi. Recently they added Red Dead Redemption 2 which is one of the greatest video games ever made and is considered to be a true masterpiece and is also the mos realistic game ever made till now. It's brilliant and I can play it through Game Pass easily. Minecraft Dungeons recently released and I played it on launch day, it was great. Soon Halo Infinite will release in late 2020 and I will get to play it on launch, it is reportedly going to be the most expensive game till date. No Man's Sky is dropping this month on Game Pass and there are just so many great things about it.
EA access is another gaming subscription on Xbox which offers some of the best EA games like Battlefield series, some Need for Speed games, FIFA, NFL Plants vs Zombies, The Sims, Mass Effect series and much more. EA access was Xbox exclusive for a long time but recently they released it on Playstation too which is great, every gamer should enjoy that great service.
I don't want to do Console wars here comparing Xbox and Playstation. It's old fashioned now but it kind of sucks you know when people still do this. You are supposed to play and enjoy the games, both are amazing consoles.
The only thing I dislike about the Xbox One are the controller batteries, yes it runs on batteries so I have to install new ones after playing for some time. It is okay though, not that bad. Batteries are really cheap. Other than this it is paying for Xbox Live Gold if you want to play online, it costs $5 or if you have the Game Pass Ultimate, you don't need to pay for Gold as it is included in it.
Till now I have uploaded over 533 Xbox One games videos on my Youtube channel and over 42 games played on it, recorded and uploaded. I think having a console makes gaming much easier and simple. I still need to get used to using the controller for good aiming playing FPS games online like Battlefield 1, Call of Duty Warzone, Destiny 2 etc.
I have been using the One S since last two years now and honestly I never had problems like the console making loud noise like people say PS4 does or overheating. It runs very smooth and quiet.
I am so waiting for the Xbox Series X launching at the end of year, hopefully if it doesn't gets delayed due to the Pandemic. I don't think they will delay. Also new amazing games to play. Being a a gamer is awesome.
